Timber Species

The native eucalypt forests of the bauxite plateau of the western Cape York, between the Embley River and the Township of Aurukun are among the few remaining substantial uncommitted hardwood timber resources available for exploitation in Australia.

In fact, these resources are increasingly scarce globally.

The right to harvest a large part of that resource has recently been secured by Australian Timber Log under a sales permit.

This document provides prospective buyers with background information about the timber resource and the arrangements proposed in relation to timber sales.

This is an exciting opportunity for buyers to access, for the first time, this unique resource.

This is a unique opportunity for buyers to secure a long-term supply arrangement for this very scarce commodity.
